Mankatha's Next Schedule In Our Singara Chennai This December
With Mankatha creating excitement waves across the Tamil cinema fraternity with the released teaser and rocking stills, fans of Actor Ajith Kumar are eagerly awaiting the release which is expected to be on 29th April 2011. As Thala's birthday May 1 falls on Sunday, release might be two days before his birthday.
First schedule of shooting was completed early this month. Intro song has been shot in Thailand and has come out more than expectations. Even Yuvan has expressed his joy over the intro song in Twitter.
Earlier, news came that the next schedule of Mankatha shooting will be held at Ramoji Film City, Hyderabad. But sources close to Mankatha unit denies that news. They also added up that the next schedule of Mankatha will start during the first week of December 2010 (Dec 3rd or 6th) in Namma Singara Chennai.
STARAJITH confirms that Tollywood Super hero Nagarjuna has been replaced with Action King Arjun due to the former's busy schedule. We at STARAJITH are sure this replacement will add on to the already piled up expectation of Mankatha. Also, actress Sneha has been approached to do a important role in Mankatha and she is yet to be confirmed.
Venkat Prabhu seems to be a busy man even off shoot . The Director is said to be busy monitoring progress of construction of sets of the Mumbai's Dharavi in Chennai. The shooting of the entire film is planned in India except few songs.

Arjun and Sneha also play ‘Mankatha’
Ajith’s 50th film ‘Mankatha’ is no short of surprises right from the day it was launched. From the teaser promo to Thala biriyani, ‘Mankatha’ is making the right noise at the right time.
After the first announced star ensemble of Ajith, Trisha, Lakshmi Rai, Vedhika, Manchu Manoj, Premgi Amaran and Ganesh Venkatram, ‘Mankathata’ is adding more star power as it is being played by Venkat Prabhu.
The latest additions to the enviable star cast will be Action King Arjun and Smiling Assassin Sneha. Arjun is said to play the role which was initially reserved for Nagarjuna.
As the Telugu mega star did not show interest, the role has gone to the action king. According to sources, Sneha who is not new to the Venkat Prabhu gang will play alongside Arjun.
The entire unit of ‘Mankatha’ is now in Bangkok to complete the opening song ‘Vilayadu Mankatha’. Of them Ajith may take a short break and return to India to attend the marriage of producer Dhayanidhi Alagiri in Madurai on November 18.

AJITH TO PACK HIS BAG TODAY

We had earlier informed that Ajith and the Mankatha crew flew to Bangkok, Thailand for the shooting of the intro song of the movie. When there were no news from the unit for the past couple of days, it is learnt that the shoot for the intro song, involving Ajith and others, is almost complete. Director Venkat Prabhu, happy with the outcome of the shoot, has informed sources that the team will be back in Chennai on Tuesday (16th November). Mankatha team has successfully completed the schedule in Bangkok and will be reaching Chennai soon. The director Venkat Prabhu and hero Ajith are excited that the intro song has come out well and are raring to begin the next schedule. In the mean time, there is a buzz that ‘Action King’ Arjun may join the Mankatha team as he has bagged a role in the film. However, it is not clear if the actor has been roped in to play Nagarjuna’s role or if he as special role carved out for him. |

Arjun And Sneha Join Mankatha

The making of actor Ajith Kumar’s 50th Mankatha seems to be full of surprises as there’s a new one springing up each day. The latest news about this film directed by Venkat Prabhu is that Action King Arjun will replace Tollywood star Nagarjuna in the film, the latter was roped in to play a parallel role in the film. Reliable sources in the industry reveal that talks are in progress with the Vallakottai actor, who also enjoys a good market in Tollywood, for the role of a gangster.
Meanwhile, yet another actress has been included in the movie — Sneha, who now joins the ensemble cast comprising Ajith, Trisha, Lakshmi Rai, Vedhika, Manchu Manoj, Premgi Amaran and Ganesh Venkatram. Sneha was also a part of Venkat Prabhu’s previous film Goa where she did a cameo role and the two have been very close since then. According to industry insiders, Sneha will be seen alongside Arjun in Mankatha, the two have acted together previously in Chinna.
The entire unit along with the lead pair and Lakshmi Rai will be completing the filming of the opening song Vilayadu Mankatha in Bangkok.
Ajith is planning to return on November 17 to India, following which he will head straight to Madurai along with his wife Shalini for producer Dhayanidhi Alagiri’s wedding. The event is set to take place on November 18 at Tamukkam Ground in the temple town.

PLANS FOR AJITH’S BILLA – 2

The shooting of Billa – 2, which is to be based on director Vishnuvardhan’s script, is to commence next year. In the meantime, the director is busy on designing the promo posters for this film. Though Ajith is busy with Mankatha at the moment, he is sparing time to ensure that Billa – 2 is more chic than the first part. The star is making all efforts to ensure that he has the right outfits that will surpass the ones in the first part, sources say. Lakshmi Rai In Bangkok For Mankatha Intro Song
Looks like actress Lakshmi Rai is going to be busy for the rest of the year. Apart from working in several Malayalam projects including Christian Brothers, Casanova and Yodha 2 with Mohanlal, the actress also has her hands full in Kollywood with Mankatha and Kanchana. We hear that the actress is now in Bangkok with the Mankatha team.
Venkat Prabhu is said to be shooting her introduction song (Vilayadu mankatha...) with Ajith, for which music has been composed by Yuvan Shankar Raja. A source close to the actress says that she has a lengthy role in the film. “Lakshmi plays an important role in the film and in a way, her character plays a vital role in taking the story forward,” the source adds.
Venkat Prabhu has tweeted, “Chilling in Bangkok with master Kalyan.” He has also said that Ajith will be joining them soon.
Meanwhile, Lakshmi is also working with Lawrence in Kanchana, a sequel to his earlier Muni. In an earlier interview, Lawrence had said, “I’ve retained most of the artistes from Muni in this film. I’ve roped in Lakshmi Rai to play a very important role.” With much to look forward to, there’s no denying this year is going to be an eventful one for the actress.

Latest about the schedule is that the intro song of Mankatha is to be shot in Bangkok with Ajith and other artists. Director Venkat Prabhu is super excited about this.
